Crafting

I'm finally submitting to the blogging pressure inflicted on me by two of my favorite people (you know who you are).

This winter I've decided to tackle my many partially completed sewing projects. In the spirit of my favorite crafting blog I'd like to share my big crafting accomplishment of the winter. A few weeks ago I finished cross-stitching a baby sheet and pillowcase for friends of ours.

The sheet:

The pillowcase:

I have now dug out a very large tablecloth that I started cross-stitching several years ago. Along the edge is a border of yellow roses and in each corner is a bouquet of roses. In the middle is a large oval of roses and ribbons. In the time it took our friend to crochet two baby hats, I had completed only one small rose. I'm pretty sure this project will last me the next several decades.

Very beautiful and welcome to the world of blogging. I am very new at this myself and my craft is journaling and scrapbooking. Trying to tackle a quilt myself which was supposed to be done in December. Oh well, she's going to love it when she gets it because it's from gamma.

MARNA!!!!!

So glad to read you here! I was beginning to think Scott had wound you up in his nightly cyclone (what do you call it again?), and you suffered a terrible fate - that this whole blog was a big cover-up.

Sorry to have not checked sooner: I took a bit of a blog vacation myself there for a spell.

Nice crafting. It's adorable! Keep up the whir.

Post again! again! again!
