Its About Time.....

Well, obviously its been awhile since I've made a post here. There's a sort of enertia when it comes to emailing/posting/etc., once you stop doing it, its pretty easy to continue not doing it. So this post is gonna be short as I ease back into blogging gently. Since this is supposed to be a family-related blog, I'll start with that.

Alot of stuff has been going on this summer. We've had both sets of parents come to Pennsylvania to visit and we've done some traveling to see family as well. The farthest we've been is Bladensburg, OH to visit my great uncle and aunt Moe and Rosie. Bladensburg is a nice little town with alot of Amish in the surrounding area. The weekend we were there the whole town (population of about 300) had a garage sale so everyone was out in full force. It was neat to see all the Amish buggies lined up at the hitching posts. The Amish children were really buying up alot of the sale items. They look pretty cute in their little adult clothing. I was wanting to get some pictures but Marna reminded me that they don't appreciate having their picture taken as if they're some sort of tourist attraction. Even though you see tons of that at art festivals.....

We also visited a few of the covered bridges in the area and had a dinner with most of the Ohio relatives (my Mom's side of the family). Here are a few pictures:
